How do chicken farmers choose suitable poultry battery chicken cages?

No matter what equipment has its specifications, poultry battery chicken cages have many types for different types of chickens and specifications, so how should farmers choose. This requires farmers to have an understanding of the length, width and height of the chicken coop, so that the poultry farming equipment manufacturer can accurately recommend it for you.

How to choose the right size?

  • The produced layer cages are divided into two types: stacked and stepped. Different styles are divided into four different specifications and sizes. The appropriate layer cage specifications can be calculated according to the area of your chicken house.

  • When choosing the size, farmers should also consider the number of layers they want to raise. The number of layers that can be raised in different layer cage sizes is different, so the specific number of layers that can be raised in each size is different. Also consult each manufacturer carefully.

  • When purchasing a layer cage, farmers should pay attention to the design of the angle of the egg roll out of the bottom of the layer cage, and the angle of the egg roll out must be accurate. An inappropriate angle will cause the egg to fail to come out and be trampled on by the chicken. Or the angle is too large and the sluggish eggs will break each other with great momentum. Generally, the appropriate angle is about 7-9 degrees. Farmers should pay special attention when purchasing.

  • When purchasing, pay attention to the connection of the bottom net between the layer cage and the layer cage. The connection should be thin, and there should be no too much gap. If the gap is too large, it may cause the eggs to fall and affect the chicken farm.

  • The size of the layer cage must be able to meet its certain activity area, feeding position and height. At the same time, in order to make the laid eggs roll out of the cage in time, the cage bottom should have a certain inclination. According to the above requirements, the arrangement of layer cages must be composed of many small single cages. Each single cage has 2, 3 or 4-5 chickens.
